Hi Everyone,

I am probably a little bit behind the times on this one but I came across an article on The Scottish Farmer Website dated 26th March about a new wormer called Zolvix which contains the active ingredient Monepantel. It forms a new fourth calls of althementic drench and promises up to 99.9% effeicacy compared to the other three classes of drench – white (benzimidazole or 1-BZ), yellow (levamisole or 2-LV) and clear (macrocyclic lactone or 3-ML). So far I think its only licensed for use in sheep although there is no reference to the product in the NOAH Compendium however if it becomes freely available on the UK market then like other sheep and cattle wormers it might be safe for goats too!
